If you can’t access an exam, you can’t be assessed fairly.
ELAREH assesses professional skills. When the interface itself creates a barrier, assessment results can’t be trusted. Accessibility is therefore essential to fair, accurate assessment — not just a compliance requirement.
The floor
Six commitments, platform-wide
Contrast ≥ 4.5:1 for text, visible focus everywhere, 24 px minimum targets, semantic structure on every page.
Everything reachable without a mouse — including the exam question navigator, builders and payment flows.
Labelled controls, live announcements for timers, autosave and payment status, tested question formats.
System preference honoured platform-wide; exam mode runs reduced motion for everyone by default.
Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling; data tables and code panels scroll inside their own containers.
Both themes designed intentionally with equal contrast care — including the examination room.
Examination accommodations
Adjustments are part of the exam, not a favour
For ELAREH's timed hiring assessments, choose available accommodations in your settings before you begin. You don't need to request them on exam day or wait for an individual review. For high-stakes external exams such as IELTS, these accommodations require authorization from our team under the exam's policy.

Known limitations
Where we're not done
Captions for interview playback are on the roadmap, as are audio and video interviews. A recent update fixed accessibility issues across both the main site and the assessment experience: keyboard focus order through navigation menus, screen-reader announcements for sign-in and registration errors, secondary-text colour contrast, labelled answer fields and a live question navigator, a labelled code editor with a live results region, clear system-check status before an exam, and screen-reader-friendly data tables behind the Employer Analytics charts. We publish gaps rather than hiding them.
