Understanding your IELTS results

IELTS on computer results are usually available 1–5 days after the test. If an authorized result is made available to ELAREH, you may be able to keep it as a verifiable record in your Talent Passport.

The result timeline

Your responses are handled by the test provider. The Speaking test is assessed by a trained IELTS examiner.

Usually 1–5 days · Results become available
For IELTS on computer, the provider usually makes results available within 1–5 days. The provider notifies you through its own official channels.

After authorized sharing · Your record may be updated
If the provider authorizes sharing and makes your result available to ELAREH, it may be added to your Talent Passport as a dated, verifiable record.

Want to question a result? You can ask the test provider about an Enquiry on Results, sometimes called a re-mark. The provider sets the request window and fee; its fee is refunded if the score changes.

One scan, not an emailed PDF

Where a result has been authorized and published in ELAREH, a verifier can check the record’s source, date and identity link. A preview or an ELAREH-generated score is not an official IELTS certificate.
